Rules


1. Registration prior to the event is required.

2. One poker hand per registered vehicle.

3. Each player will travel to different checkpoints, receiving one card at each location. The course will run as follows:

1:00 pm - 1:30 pm The Heritage Building - 225 E Lemon Street, Lakeland

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Lake Wales - 237 SR 60 West, Lake Wales

1:45 pm – 3:45 pm North Winter Haven - 2075 8th Street NW, Winter Haven

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Auburndale - 2146 US Highway 92 W, Auburndale

2:15 pm – 4:15 pm Crystal Lake - 1817 Crystal Lake Drive, Lakeland

Ending Rally – Play your hand
Food & Entertainment until 6:00 pm

4. Check-in will be from 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm. Scoring will be conducted as cars return and winner will be announced once all cars have returned, approximately 5:00 pm.

5. At each checkpoint along the way, each player will draw an envelope containing one randomly selected playing card. Envelopes are marked with a code to be used by the Poker Run Committee to help ensure there are no mix-ups or mishaps. Do NOT open your envelope until the ending rally.

6. Do not swap cards. The Poker Run Officials will write down your name on the key corresponding to the envelope you receive.

7. Players MUST leave ALL their envelopes unopened until you return to the ending rally, at which time the Poker Run Officials will reveal your hand. Open envelopes will be considered ineligible for poker prizes. Player will still be eligible for door prizes.

8. The Poker Run Officials will determine the top 3 highest ranking hands. Prizes will be awarded to those top three individuals.

9. Scoring will be determined by the following ranking:
5 of a kind
Royal flush
Straight flush
Four of a kind
Full house
Flush
Straight
Three of a kind
Two pair
Pair
High card

10. In the event of a tie, the person with the high card will win.

11. The Poker Run Officials will have the master list of coded envelopes at the scoring for reference in case of any envelope mix-ups or mishaps.

12. You must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible to play.

13. MIDFLORIDA employees and vendors can participate but are not eligible for prizes.
