Courtesy Pay

An overdraft protection service

Courtesy Pay offers extra protection on most checking accounts against bouncing checks or having an item returned for insufficient funds by allowing your account to be overdrawn up to an established limit. You are spared the additional fees that may be charged by the merchant for a returned item. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the embarrassment or time that it takes to correct these types of situations. Courtesy Pay is also available on Business Checking accounts by contacting the Business Services department.

> Existing checking accounts with direct deposit and one year of account history $1,000 overdraft maximum
> New checking accounts after thirty days and up to one year of account history $500 overdraft maximum

What types of transactions are covered?
Checks, ACH (Automated Clearing House) transactions and Online Banking transactions/payments are automatically covered by Courtesy Pay. However, in order to have your ATM and everyday debit card transactions included, you must opt in by completing and submitting the Opt In Disclosure Form.

What you need to know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees

Courtesy Pay is not available on Outrageous or Basic Checking accounts and can be denied or revoked at any time. Overdraft limits include fees. If you exceed your limit, your transaction or check may be denied. There is no fee for the Courtesy Pay program, however there are fees associated with overdrafting your account. You may choose to revoke this service at any time. If your account remains negative for more than 3 days, a negative balance fee will apply beginning the 4th day.
