Announcing MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre
Live Nation’s Tampa Amphitheatre To Be Named MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre At The Florida State Fairgrounds
MIDFLORIDA Credit Union, one of Central Florida’s leading financial institutions, announced today a multi-year agreement with Live Nation, the world’s largest live music company to become the new name in title sponsor of their popular Amphitheatre in Tampa. The new venue name is the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
The sponsorship agreement between MIDFLORIDA and Live Nation represents another example of MIDFLORIDA’S dedication to the Tampa Bay area. “In our longstanding history of providing affordable financial products and services, MIDFLORIDA has enjoyed being involved with and maintaining a presence in the communities we serve. However, as we have continued to grow and transform into a regional credit union, we sought a unique way to reach a large portion of our potential membership throughout Central Florida. Becoming the title sponsor of this great music venue affords us the opportunity to introduce our brand to a diverse spectrum of the population and interact with people in a more social atmosphere,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Jones.
From modest beginnings in 1954 as a small teachers’ credit union, MIDFLORIDA has grown to include nearly 40 branches, approximately 700 employees and assets exceeding $1.8 billion. MIDFLORIDA is currently the fifth largest credit union in the state and has expanded their service area from coast to coast to serve close to 200,000 members. MIDFLORIDA offers high-tech high-touch service, with extended hours and aggressive lending rates, while maintaining the credit union philosophy of people helping people.
“We look forward to a long term, innovative sponsorship relationship with MIDFLORIDA, by offering them a unique platform to integrate their brand throughout the live entertainment experience,” says Maureen Ford, president of Live Nation Venue Network. “As the name in title sponsor, they will also gain exclusive benefits to offer their customers in the future.”
This Live Nation Amphitheatre is the first outdoor, state-of-the-art concert facility of its kind serving the greater Tampa Bay Area. The Amphitheatre opened in 2004 and features over 9,500 reserved seats under a one of a kind canopy. In addition, the general admission festival lawn provides a unique open-air concert experience for nearly 10,000 fans.
The Amphitheatre features top-name entertainers with excellent sound and sightlines, along with two 20’x30’ video screens located on each side of the Main Stage and newly added, technology advanced LED screens on the festival lawn area. Rush was the first concert event to go on-sale for the amphitheater in 2004, attracting nearly 15,000 people. Bands playing the Amphitheater this summer include Dave Matthews Band, Bob Dylan, Black Sabbath, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, John Mayer, the Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, Kid Rock and Keith Urban.
