MIDFLORIDA Celebrates Brandon Grand Opening

MIDFLORIDA moved its Brandon branch to a more convenient location. The new full-service branch includes a drive-thru, Saturday hours, Mortgage Center representative and more.

MIDFLORIDA Credit Union has moved its Brandon branch to a 6,340 sq. ft. remodeled building located at 825 W. Brandon Blvd. The new office opened for business on Monday, October 22, and features four lobby offices, five interior teller windows, a drive-up ATM and four drive-thru lanes with MIDFLORIDA’s 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. extended hours. The full-service branch will also offer Saturday hours and houses a Mortgage Center professional and an area devoted to Business Services.

“Our new location in Brandon offers more visibility than the previous branch, but also provides greater accessibility to our membership,” said Kevin Jones, MIDFLORIDA’s President and CEO. “Relocating to a stand-alone facility reflects our goal of offering our members access to full-service branches in the most convenient locations. With the addition of mortgage staff, this branch is now a one-stop shop for personal banking needs.”

The original branch in Brandon was acquired with a recent merger and was a shared branching facility that hosted multiple credit unions. Due to this arrangement, MIDFLORIDA had a limited amount of space and staffing with which to serve the Brandon membership.

A grand opening celebration at the Brandon branch is planned for Friday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Festivities will include free lunch, bingo with prizes, and door prizes, including an Apple iPad 3 giveaway.

MIDFLORIDA is a state-chartered financial institution headquartered in Lakeland, Fla. Pending the completion of two mergers, it will serve approximately 190,000 members with assets over $1.8 billion through their network of branches, more than 60 ATMs, and through its website, midflorida.com. MIDFLORIDA Credit Union is open for membership to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school within their service area of 15 Central Florida counties.
