MIDFLORIDA to Add Two New Branches in Early 2012
Plans are to add a full-service location in the Brandon market and one in the Davenport area.
MIDFLORIDA Credit Union will add two new locations to its branch network in the first half of 2012 – a full-service location in the Brandon market and one in the Davenport area.
Plans are to completely remodel the vacant Village Inn restaurant at the corner of Highway 60 and Buckingham Place in Brandon. This office will provide the residents of Brandon, Valrico and neighboring Plant City extended drive-thru service (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays), Saturday hours, mortgage and business lending, as well as personal lending. A soft opening is planned for June 2012, with the branch being fully operational by July 2012.
In Davenport, the purchase of a former Regions Bank office located on Highway 27 in the Berry Town Center will make a new MIDFLORIDA branch opening a quick turnaround. With modest renovations underway, this full-service branch is scheduled to open in April 2012 and is expected to serve the growing Four Corners area, adjacent to Disney World.
“As MIDFLORIDA has continued to expand its geographic footprint, our goal is to make sure we are opening convenient offices to accommodate the growing membership base,” stated Kevin Jones, President and CEO of MIDFLORIDA. “Convenience is something that has proven to be of real value when people look for a financial relationship. And while many people are looking to online services for the added convenience, it cannot compare to face-to-face interaction that you may want or need from your credit union,” Jones added.
MIDFLORIDA represents one of a handful of regional credit unions serving larger markets in Florida. Currently, the state-chartered credit union has members and branches that span from St. Petersburg to the Disney area to Lake Okeechobee.
Grand opening details have not been announced yet but anyone interested can visit midflorida.com for updates.
