What branches will I be able to use beginning July 1, 2012?

You will be able to use any one of the 37 MIDFLORIDA branches which includes four of the newly acquired Space Coast facilities. However, two Space Coast facilities will not convert since there are nearby full-service MIDFLORIDA locations (with 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. drive-thru service and Saturday hours) either currently open or slated to open in July 2012.

The Brandon Space Coast branch will not convert as there is already a MIDFLORIDA branch located 2 miles away at 710 Oakfield Drive. In August, our Brandon branch will relocate to become a full-service branch at the corner of Highway 60 and Buckingham Place.

The Carrollwood Space Coast branch will not convert as the MIDFLORIDA Central Tampa branch located at 3202 W. Waters Ave., Tampa, is within three (3) miles of this facility.

About Your Account

Will my member number (account number) remain the same?

In most cases, your member number will not change.

In the rare situations that your member number may change, MIDFLORIDA will use a simple formula to create your new member number: add one million (1,000,000) to the existing account number. For example, if your member number is 12345 then you would add one million (1,000,000) to your existing account number to get your MIDFLORIDA member number of 1012345.

Existing SCCU account number     12345
Add one million1000000
New MIDFLORIDA account number1012345

Future communications from MIDFLORIDA will let you know if your account number is staying exactly the same or whether you’ll need to add the prefix.

Will my account remain the same?

All SCCU accounts will be transitioned to a similar MIDFLORIDA account type.

In most cases, the Space Coast accounts are very similar to MIDFLORIDA’s account types, so transitioning over to MIDFLORIDA should result in a similar account with the same or enhanced account benefits. You will receive specific information about your accounts on or around June 1, 2012.

Will I need to notify the companies who use ACH – Automatic Clearing House – to make deposits, such as paychecks, social security checks, etc. or withdrawals, such as insurance drafts, car payments, etc. on my accounts to use a new account number?

Yes, but do not attempt to make this change prior to July 1, 2012, as this may cause an interruption in deposits or payments. Following July 1, 2012, you will need to contact each company which processes transactions of this nature to inform them of your new MIDFLORIDA routing and transit number, and new account number if your account number changes.

We will work behind the scenes to send notices of this change to companies who perform these types of transactions routinely but it is in your best interest to contact the businesses personally to ensure the change is made. You may print and submit our Automatic Deposit/Withdrawl Authorization Form, however, some companies may prefer that you use their own document.

MIDFLORIDA’s Routing and Transit Number: 263179804

Will I get new checks?

Once you receive your new MIDFLORIDA checks, you will need to destroy all of your SCCU or Eastern checks and begin using the MIDFLORIDA checks. In the short interim period, a process has been established to ensure that any outstanding checks clear as normal on your account.

Will I continue to receive my statement online?

Yes. If you are currently receiving your statement online, you will continue to do so with MIDFLORIDA. MIDFLORIDA’s eStatement may work a little different than what you may be familiar with. This notice is just a courtesy to let you know your statement is ready but is not required to access your eStatement. Once your statement is ready, just go to midflorida.com and log into the Online Services section and click the eStatement tab from the top navigation.

Please note that once you transition to MIDFLORIDA, your credit card statement will process separately from your account statement.
