Financially Prepare for Hurricane Season

It’s the time of year us Floridians dread most: Hurricane Season. Take action today with these three simple tasks, just in case a big storm heads this way.

Make sure we have the correct phone number on file.

You can verify or edit your phone number within the profile section of Online Banking or by contacting Help Desk. This is extremely important because, if you need to evacuate and/or make purchases outside of your normal spending patterns, your account could be flagged for fraud. If that happens, we’ll need to get in touch to confirm that the questionable purchases were, in fact, made by you.

Download the MIDFLORIDA Mobile Branch app and enroll in Direct Touch Phone Banking.

There’s no guarantee that you’ll have power, much less WiFi, following a storm. To make sure you can access your accounts without a home computer, download the app from the Google Play or Apple App store. You should also give the Help Desk a call or visit any branch to sign up for Phone Banking.

Keep cash in a safe place.

Although we do our best to stay operational during natural disasters, flooding and/or power outages can cause branch closures and ATM outages, making it important for you to keep emergency cash on hand. In case you’re really in a pinch, don’t forget that no fees are assessed for withdrawals made from Publix Presto! machines.

We have our fingers crossed that this hurricane season is uneventful and that all of our members are kept safe and sound. But, as they say, it’s better to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
