See associate for details regarding terms and fees. The Absolutely Free Student Checking account is designed for individual MIDFLORIDA members 10-20 years old. $25 minimum opening deposit required. Depending on age, the account may require a parent or guardian’s signature. Identification (school or government-issued ID) required to open account; driver’s license or government- issued ID required for issuance of debit card. To qualify for the $50 incentive, you must open a new Absolutely Free Student Checking account, accept and open online banking, eStatement and a debit card; and complete five debit card purchase transactions which must post within one calendar month (to be completed within the first 60 days of account opening). No dividends are paid on Absolutely Free Student Checking. Annual Percentage Yield is 0.00%. Limit one incentive per Social Security number. Past checking account holders and previous recipients of checking account incentives are ineligible. The incentive will be deposited to new Absolutely Free Student Checking account on the 61st day after the qualifications have been met, and will be reported to the IRS.

Accepted forms of identification for new account: A parent or guardian is required as a joint owner on all accounts where the minor is 14 and under. Youth 10-20 years old with a parent or guardian as a joint owner must provide their Social Security number and the parent or guardian must have a valid Florida driver's license, Florida ID card, or Military ID. Youth 15-20 can open an account without a parent or guardian as a joint owner and must provide their Social Security number and have a valid Florida driver's license, Florida ID, or Military ID.

Refer a Friend for Absolutely Free Student Checking: Offer valid as of August 15, 2024, and may be canceled at any time without notice. The referring member must have a MIDFLORIDA checking account. To receive the referral incentive, the prospective member must present the referral code or completed referral card at account opening. Incentive will be posted to the referring member’s account after the referred friend opens an Absolutely Free Student Checking account and qualifies for the $50 checking incentive within 60 days. You cannot refer your own account, and secondary checking accounts do not qualify for this offer. Additional requirements apply for earning a $100 incentive when you refer a Free Checking account.
