What You Need to Know
A new and improved card experience is coming this summer! Your rate, card controls, and built in security features will remain the same—now with enhanced security and everyday benefits from Mastercard. Visa credit cards will expire on July 20, regardless of the expiration date on your card.
Activate on July 20
Your new Mastercard credit card cannot be activated and used until July 20 or after. If it arrives early in the mail, hang tight.

Understanding Your New Mastercard
We made the decision to partner with Mastercard as our MIDFLORIDA credit card issuer as part of our ongoing commitment to continuously improve the benefits and services we deliver to our members. Your no-cost upgrade to the new MIDFLORIDA Mastercard is a demonstration to this commitment.
No, your current card is being discontinued, so to enjoy uninterrupted service, it's important to activate and begin using your new MIDFLORIDA Mastercard on or after July 20.
Visa and Mastercard have nearly identical global acceptance footprints. Mastercard is one of the most widely accepted payment networks worldwide, accepted in more than 210 countries and territories worldwide.
No, your rate will not change because of this switch.
Card delivery times can vary, but you should receive your card by July 20. On July 20, simply:
- Call to activate and set a PIN
- Destroy your old card
If you haven't received your card by then, give us a call at (863) 688-3733 or toll-free at (866) 913-3733.
Your Visa credit card will expire on July 20, 2026, regardless of the expiration date printed on your card.
No, you will have a new card number, expiration date, and CVV code. Please update any place you have your MIDFLORIDA credit card saved once you receive your new Mastercard.
Some payments may be updated automatically if the merchant allows our system to do so, but we recommend updating any recurring payments yourself such as bills, subscriptions, and automated payments to avoid any disruption. All automated payments should be updated with your new card information on July 20.
Signature is unique to Visa, and your new Preferred card is a name and brand change only. There are no changes to the rate, rewards, or core features you currently enjoy.
Although Costco accepts Debit Mastercard's with a PIN, they unfortunately do not accept Mastercard credit cards.
As part of the transition from Visa to Mastercard, MIDFLORIDA credit card statements will be converted to paper delivery on June 12.
No. Paper statements will automatically be set as the default during the transition to your new MIDFLORIDA Mastercard credit card. Members will have the opportunity to re-enroll in eStatements beginning July 20, 2026. We will send reminders for enrollment when the time comes.
Yes, beginning July 20, please send all credit card payments to P.O. Box 2711 Omaha, NE 68103-2711.
No need to worry! Payments sent to the old Visa payment address will still be forwarded to us and processed. To help avoid any delays with future payments, please update the payment mailing address to P.O. Box 2711 Omaha, NE 68103-2711.
If your new card was sent to an outdated address it will be returned and destroyed for your safety. We’re unable to take action until July 20, and on that date, you’ll have two options:
- We can order a replacement card for you, which will arrive within 7–10 business days, or
- You can visit a branch to receive an instant-issue card the same day
Cards are scheduled to arrive in early July and should all be delivered by July 20. If on or after July 20 you still have not received your card, you can visit any MIDFLORIDA branch to pick up an instant issue card same day, free of charge.
You can easily activate within the MIDFLORIDA mobile app or by calling 844-367-8200. Please note that you will not be able to activate your card until July 20.
