To Our Membership

It’s with both excitement and dread that I announce that I will be retiring as CEO on February 28, 2022.

Even though I will be leaving my post as CEO, I will be staying on as President Emeritus through at least August 2022 to ensure a smooth succession.  The board has already promoted our current President, Steve Moseley, to CEO and he will take the dual title of President and CEO beginning March 1, 2022.

I mention that I approach this life change with both “excitement and dread”.  I’m excited to start a new phase of my life, but dread the idea of no longer being part of the MIDFLORIDA Team.  MIDFLORIDA has been a significant part of my life for nearly 30 years and the team has become my de-facto family over those many years.  Fortunately, I’m leaving the credit union in great hands with Steve and our management team at the helm.  Plus, I get to stay around for a while to provide support and advice when asked.

A lot people have asked me, what’s next?  The answer is plenty of hobbies, plus my wife has put me on the honey-do payroll as her “Chief Handyman.”  I think she has enough projects to keep me busy for years to come.  In closing, working on behalf of our membership has been an amazing journey.  I thank the Lord every day for the good fortune he has given me and MIDFLORIDA.
